ESBT Alliance National Inclusion Week - September 2017

Thank you to all staff who joined us in celebrating National Inclusion Week and attending sessions across the week. It was great to see colleagues from across our ESBT Alliance coming together to celebrate diversity and committing to promoting inclusion in all that we do.

National Inclusion Week is an annual campaign by Inclusive Employers nationally, and by the ESBT Alliance locally, to raise awareness of the importance of inclusion in the workplace and the business benefits to having a diverse and included workforce.

Inclusion is about making sure that people feel valued, respected, listened to and able to challenge. It’s about recognising and valuing the differences we each bring to the workplace and creating an environment where everyone has equal access to opportunities and resources and can contribute to the organisations success.

We are really keen to hear your feedback about the sessions, the week and what worked well or what you’d like to know more about.

Please do take the time to let us know what you thought by completing our evaluation form at https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/HQ59WJT .

If you didn’t manage to make the sessions, all of the presentations are now available below so please take the time to view them and find out more:

Planning and Partnerships Workshop - July 2017

East Sussex Better Together have been reviewing how stakeholders input into strategic planning of health and care services. We have been thinking about how we can improve arrangements to ensure that we make best use of the experiences and expertise of stakeholders in shaping services.

As part of this review, a workshop was held on 7 July 2017 in Hastings, to which stakeholders with an interest in the strategic planning of health and care services were invited. The purpose of the workshop was to share some of the thinking which has emerged during the review of current planning arrangements and to explore ideas around setting up a new stakeholder group.

The workshop discussed development of a new health and wellbeing stakeholder group that will work collaboratively to help shape health and care across East Sussex. The intention is for the group to co-ordinate stakeholder engagement in strategic planning processes and to develop a countywide approach to co-production which will ensure commissioners and providers of services make best use of the experiences and expertise of stakeholders in improving health and care.
