As the NHS and local government develop new joint services, and health services are modernised and delivered to the public in new and innovative ways, a number of different organisations are watching carefully to ensure that quality healthcare is provided for the residents of East Sussex, including:

Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee (HOSC)
This committee looks at the work of the National Health Service (NHS) clinical commissioning groups, healthcare trusts, and the NHS England Local Area Team. It acts as a ‘critical friend’ by suggesting ways that health related services might be improved.

Healthwatch East Sussex
An organisation that listens to people’s views on health and social care services in our area and represents local people’s opinions at a local and national level.

Adult Social Care and Community Safety Scrutiny Committee
This scrutiny committee looks at the work of the Adult Social Care Department at East Sussex County Council.
