Listening to children and young people

Share your views on emotional health and wellbeing support services for children and young people in Sussex

The NHS and local authorities across Sussex are currently reviewing the emotional health and wellbeing services and support available for local children and young people between 0-18 years of age. The aim of the review is to get a better understanding of what works well and where improvements could be made.

The number of children and young people needing help and support for their mental health and emotional wellbeing is growing. Some children, young people and their families have told us that they don’t have good experiences of care, waiting too long for appointments or a diagnosis or not having support when they need it. Many do have a good experience and value the support they get – we want to make sure we can do more of this in the future.

How to have your say

We want to hear from children and young people so that we can improve the support and services available to this age group in Sussex.

  1. Take part in the survey for children and young people here. You may need help from a parent or carer to fill this in, and you may also want them to complete the parents and carers survey here.
  2. Health and Care Professionals can let us know what they think by completing the survey here.
  3. You can also share your feedback by writing to: Freepost SEA2474, BN8 2ZZ (please mark any correspondence ‘CYP Review’)
