Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, your health and care diary has rarely mattered more. Your NHS and social care services need to know what’s working for you, where the difficulties and gaps are and, if this happens again in the future, what could help services to work better for you or your family.
Each and every time you have contact with a service, you, your family or carer can phone, text, email, write a letter, leave feedback on the Healthwatch website, or send a video/audio log. The more of you who do this, the more powerful the voice. All services need to know what’s working for people and what isn’t.
Health and care includes mental health services, care at home, residential care as well as GPs, hospitals, pharmacies and dentists. Healthwatch East Sussex are also interested in how you prevent illness.
The more voices, the stronger the message. Your views matter. You can help your NHS and care services by telling Healthwatch how it is for you. If things went well, this helps services to keep up the good work. If things weren’t so good, your ideas and suggestions can help to change services for the better – for you, your family, and your community. Tell your story and encourage others to tell theirs.

Healthwatch Listening Tour update
The Healthwatch East Sussex Listening Tour for April and May in Eastbourne has been postponed until later in the year. Instead, Healthwatch will be reaching out to all East Sussex residents to ask them about their experiences of health and care services during the COVID-19 crisis.
