East Sussex Better Together’s ‘Health Promoting Trust’ project is leading the way in preventative healthcare

Health Promoting TrustEast Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust is leading the way in integrated, preventative healthcare as a ‘Health Promoting Trust’. This means staff are receiving specialist training to support positive mental and physical wellbeing in everything they do.

The training equips staff with the skills to make the most of every contact to support people in making positive lifestyle changes, and reduce their risk of preventable long-term health conditions.

The Health Promoting Trust project involves close working with social care staff and One You East Sussex to host events for local people, share knowledge and agree on how people can be referred for more preventative healthcare advice. It’s also working hard to improve health and wellbeing for staff.
