WORK has been completed on the latest phase of a major improvement scheme for Uckfield High Street. Contractors Colas have completed the second phase of stage two of the Uckfield Town Centre Highway Improvement Scheme.
PART of Uckfield High Street has been opened up for short-stay parking for shoppers as work on a major improvement scheme continues. A section of the newly completed layby on the south west side of High Street has been made available for parking for up to one hour only.
WORK is progressing rapidly on the latest phase of a scheme to improve Uckfield town centre. Contractors Colas have completed the first of 10 sections of stage two of the Uckfield Town Centre Highway Improvement Scheme, with work well underway on the second section, three weeks after work began.
PARENTS of children returning to school in Uckfield after the half-term holidays are being asked to allow extra time for their journeys. Traffic management for stage two of the Uckfield town centre highway improvement scheme comes into operation on Sunday, February 21 with work beginning on Monday, February 22 2016.
