RESIDENTS in Hastings have elected a new representative to East Sussex County Council.
A by-election was held on Thursday, November 20, following the death in September of Conservative member Cllr Peter Pragnell, who had represented the division since 2009 and served as Chairman.
Reform candidate Aidan Christian Fisher won the seat, polling 797 votes. The turnout was 31 per cent.
The total number of votes cast for each candidate was;
Ricky Hodges (Independent) – 55
Martin Paul Griffiths (Liberal Democrats) – 129
Amanda Pollard (Labour Party) – 395
Caroline June Kerswell (Conservative Party) – 494
Paula Warne (Green Party) – 607
Aidan Christian Fisher (Reform UK) – 797
