EAST SUSSEX businesses can get free advice and support about apprenticeships as part of a national initiative.
To mark National Apprenticeship Week, which runs from 10 to 14 February, the county council is holding free drop-in sessions for organisations to come and find out more about apprenticeships.

Proposals for East Sussex County Council’s budget will be presented to Cabinet next week along with a Council Plan which will help ensure limited funding is focussed on areas of priority for the county. Update on avian influenza (bird flu) case in Udimore, Rye
THE Government’s Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) has confirmed a case of avian influenza in poultry at a premises in Udimore, Rye.
All poultry on the premises will be humanely culled, and Defra has set up a 3-kilometre Protection Zone around the premises and a 10km surveillance zone. Continue reading
Public invited to help shape rights of way plan
THE PUBLIC are being asked to share how they use the county’s 2,000 miles of rights of ways and help shape a 10-year access plan.
East Sussex County Council has launched a public survey as part of its review of the county’s Rights of Way Access Plan and is encouraging people to share how people use rights of way, how they plan to use them in the future and what barriers they face. The new plan will replace the previous Rights of Way Improvement Plan. Continue reading
