Two weeks left to have your say on core offer

There are just two weeks left for people to say what they think of the core offer of public services proposed for East Sussex.

A public survey to gather the views of residents and organisations runs until December 26. It can be completed online or by requesting a paper version to complete and return by the closing date.

The core offer suggests a basic but decent level of service which East Sussex County Council believes is the very least residents should still be able to expect, even with intense financial pressure on the county.

If adopted, the core offer would guide the council’s approach over the next three years, including how it works with partners to meet as many of the county’s needs as possible.

It would also help give clarity about the level of funding needed in East Sussex just to provide the core level of service.

The public survey asks for people’s views on future funding of local services, as well as on which of those services should currently be included in the core offer.

The survey can be most easily completed online at: https://consultation.eastsussex.gov.uk/governance-and-community-services/a-core-offer-for-east-sussex/

A paper copy of the survey, which must be returned by the closing date of December 26, can be still be requested by phoning 01273 335155 or emailing coreoffer@eastsussex.gov.uk
