Landowner fined for planning notice failure

A LANDOWNER, suspected of the unauthorised disposal of waste on his farm, has been ordered to pay nearly £1,300 after failing to respond to a planning notice.

Ian Hobden, 67, of Giffords Farm, Battle Road, Dallington, pleaded guilty to failing to respond a Planning Contravention Notice when he appeared at Hastings Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, July 18. Continue reading

Views sought on updated bus lane plans

Leaders double investment in East Sussex’s road patching

RoadworksINVESTMENT in the county’s road patching programme will be doubled after a £1 million boost was agreed by council leaders.

The extra money is on top of the £1 million already committed for patching this year to repair sections of damaged road across East Sussex and annual spending of £2.5 million for pothole repairs. Continue reading
