INVESTMENT in the county’s road patching programme will be doubled after a £1 million boost was agreed by council leaders.
The extra money is on top of the £1 million already committed for patching this year to repair sections of damaged road across East Sussex and annual spending of £2.5 million for pothole repairs. Continue reading
OVERNIGHT road closures will be in place on the A22 London Road in Forest Row as major improvement work is carried out.
East Sussex Highways will start repairs to improve the structure of the road and resurface the carriageway on Tuesday 28 May. Work will continue until Saturday 22 June.
TWO roads in Hailsham are set to close overnight next month as major improvement work is carried out.
Diplocks Way and the A22 Hailsham Bypass have both suffered wear and tear due to the volume of traffic using both roads and will undergo repair work. Continue reading
