The ceremonial head of East Sussex County Council has launched himself into the digital age.
Council chairman Colin Belsey is keeping the county’s residents informed of the work he carries out on their behalf with regular updates on his newly-launched blog.
Some of the first posts have included an account of his visit to moving ceremonies to mark the anniversary of the Dieppe raids during World War Two, his attendance at citizenship ceremonies and an appeal for more foster carers.
Cllr Belsey said: “In my role as chairman, I get to visit places and to meet people I would never otherwise encounter.
“Hopefully, the blog will enable me to promote some of the fantastic work which goes on around the county, and to highlight the role I play in representing East Sussex both within the county and beyond.
“The fantastic thing about the Internet is that it enables us as a council to communicate directly with the people we represent.”
