Skills East Sussex celebrates 10-year milestone

Members of Skills East Sussex come together to celebrate - a group of men and women smiling at the camera SKILLS East Sussex is celebrating a decade of working to improve local employment and skills levels and boost economic prosperity in East Sussex.

Initially commissioned and funded by the county council for just two years, Skills East Sussex (SES) began in 2015 with a clear founding mission to raise prosperity, support vulnerable residents and ensure that people of all ages had the skills they needed to succeed.

Ministerial visit marks launch of work support programme

A PROGRAMME that will offer tailored support to help more than 2,900 East Sussex residents access employment has launched with a ministerial visit.

The Minister of State for Employment, Alison McGovern, visited Newhaven today to mark the official launch of East Sussex’s new Connect to Work programme, part of the Government’s ‘Get Britain Working’ strategy. Continue reading
