RESIDENTS in East Sussex are being urged to take action now to ensure they stay warm and well this winter.
The cold weather can be dangerous for vulnerable groups such as families with young children, older people and those with long-term illnesses.
OPTIONS are being explored to balance next year’s budget without reducing services despite huge financial pressures, council leaders will be told.
A report due to go before cabinet next week suggests options to be considered could include raising council tax and using some of the authority’s very limited reserves, with the council facing an expected shortfall of £27.5 million in the 2024/25 budget.
