FLEXIBUS, East Sussex’s on-demand bus service, is now even more flexible with the introduction of one single zone.
Passengers can book Flexibus trips to any destination within a 14-mile radius of their pick-up point within the new zone, which covers 90 per cent of the county as well as some key destinations beyond the border such as transport hubs and hospitals.
WORK on a major upgrade of Uckfield bus station which will improve facilities and increase capacity has started.
The site off Bell Lane will benefit from modern bus shelters with wireless charging points, enhanced real time information, improved street lighting and a new cycle shelter. Continue reading
MEMBERS of the public are being invited to give their views on updated plans to make bus services in Eastbourne more reliable, improve journey times and reduce congestion.

INVESTMENT in the county’s road patching programme will be doubled after a £1 million boost was agreed by council leaders.
The extra money is on top of the £1 million already committed for patching this year to repair sections of damaged road across East Sussex and annual spending of £2.5 million for pothole repairs. Continue reading
