Measles death sparks call for vaccinations

HEALTH bosses in East Sussex are urging parents and carers to check that their children are up to date with vaccinations against measles amid a surge of cases across the country.

Figures from the UK Health Security Agency show more than 520 confirmed cases of measles in England since the beginning of the year, including one which claimed the life of child in Liverpool. Continue reading →

Daytime closure for coastal road resurfacing

RoadworksA LONG stretch of coastal road is set to be closed to traffic for five weeks while major work takes place to improve its condition.

Pett Level Road in Pett will be closed from Monday, September 30 to Friday, November 1 between Chick Hill and Smugglers End Park to enable resurfacing, hedge cutting and associated work to be carried out. Continue reading →
