Counterfeit shoe seller must pay back £60K or face jail
A MARKET trader who was caught selling counterfeit trainers, shoes and boots at Rye Market has been ordered to pay back £60,000 or face prison time.
Sukhdeav Singh, 58, of City Way in Rochester, Kent pleaded guilty in February 2023 to 13 counts relating to trademark theft for having in his possession for sale counterfeit footwear with a retail value if they were genuine of over £170,000.
Parking charges to increase next month
PARKING charges across the county are set to rise from April 2, for only the second time in 14 years.
On street parking charges are set to increase by between five and 95 pence, while permits will rise by up to £10 a year for residents. Continue reading

The events, which are taking place during Social Work Week, will offer newly qualified and experienced social workers the opportunity to learn more about a career in social work in East Sussex.
