EVENING drop-in events are being held as part of a consultation into proposed changes to adult social care services in East Sussex.
A series of daytime events has already been held by East Sussex County Council, as part of its adult social care budget consultation, which runs until Friday, December 18 2015.
Now, the council has arranged extra evening drop-in sessions in Seaford, Bexhill, and Robertsbridge, which will be held next week.
The council will have £40 million less to spend on adult social care services by March 2019, in addition to the £28 million already saved from these services since 2013.
A county council spokesman said: “We’ve organised these evening events as people have told us they would be helpful and we’d really encourage anyone who may be affected by the proposals, or their families or carers, to come along.
“Officers will be on hand to help people understand the proposals and how they might affect them, while we will also be able to take people’s comments and feedback.”
Anyone who’s not able to attend can take part in the consultation by completing an online survey at www.eastsussex.gov.uk/ascbudget or by telephoning 01273 481565 if they’d prefer to have a survey posted to them.
