Vital support for creative and digital industries
HUNDREDS of East Sussex businesses have been helped by the South East Creatives business support programme, designed to support the creative, cultural and digital sectors across the region.
Set up by the South East Local Enterprise Partnership’s South East Creative Economy Network, the programme has awarded thousands of pounds in grant funding as well as providing free business support and advice to the local creative and digital industries since its launch in 2018.
Suspended jail term for counterfeit car accessories seller
AN EASTBOURNE man who was caught with thousands of counterfeit car accessories has been handed a suspended jail sentence.
Mark Tykva, 36, of Wannock Lane, Eastbourne was sentenced on Friday, January 21 to 12 months’ custody suspended for two years with a requirement to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work.
Bidders shortlisted for £730m Highways contract
THREE bidders have been shortlisted to provide highway maintenance and infrastructure services for East Sussex in the future.
Ringway Jacobs, Balfour Beatty Living Places and Colas have been selected to move to the next stage of the procurement process by East Sussex County Council.
