COUNCIL chiefs in East Sussex have expressed their disappointment after Gatwick was overlooked for a new runway – but vowed to continue to back the Sussex airport in its long-term ambition to expand.

IMPROVEMENTS to a roundabout in Bexhill have been rescheduled for the New Year – to avoid disruption during the Christmas period.
East Sussex County Council had planned to start work on upgrading the Sackville Road roundabout in October 2016 and complete the scheme before the first week of December. Continue reading

THE final touches are being applied to a major improvement scheme which has transformed Uckfield town centre.
