A KEY route through Lewes has fully reopened after the completion of a pedestrian improvement scheme.

BUDDING actors proved they were Kings of the Road when they took over East Sussex Highways for the day.

EAST Sussex Highways have taken delivery of 18 newly named gritters to join its fleet.
The new vehicles are all 4×4 and have the latest safety technology. They also hold more salt and distribute it in a more efficient way – this means that they can operate for longer and more safely during cold weather conditions. Continue reading
PEOPLE are being invited to give their views on plans for the final stage of a cycle and pedestrian route prompted by the tragic death of a cyclist from Rye.
East Sussex County Council is consulting on proposals for the fourth and final section of the route in Harbour Road – a scheme which was devised following the death in August 2004 of 22-year-old Graham Mathews. Continue reading
