Annual report highlights successes and challenges

Amnesty for missing library books begins

escc logoRESIDENTS are being urged to check their homes for overdue books as East Sussex Library Service launches its annual amnesty.

More than a million books were taken out on loan from the county’s libraries in 2023, but unfortunately some have not been returned.

Crowborough road to close for resurfacing work

RoadworksOVERNIGHT road closures will be in place on a Crowborough road as a major resurfacing project is carried out.

Businesses achieve top healthy workplace awards

TWO LOCAL businesses have been presented with Gold Wellbeing at Work Awards.

Servomex, from Crowborough, and Affinity Select Insurance Services Ltd, from Uckfield, are the first businesses in East Sussex to reach the gold standard in the county council’s healthier workplaces programme.

Beware of fake payment websites, motorists warned

MOTORISTS are being urged to be vigilant when using parking payment websites to avoid becoming a victim of a scam.

Nationally there have been reports of fake parking payment websites coming up on search engines and scammers placing fake stickers on or near pay and display machines giving false contact details. Continue reading →
