Free slippers giveaway at fall prevention events

RESIDENTS in East Sussex can pick up a free pair of non-slip slippers at events to mark Falls Prevention Awareness Week, which runs between September 15 and 19.

Public Health bosses at East Sussex County Council are running four public events to share advice on how older people can improve their balance with regular exercises, and hand out the free footwear to those attending. Continue reading →

£4million cash boost for East Sussex economy

Building work at new Seaford Library nears completion

Artistic touch to be added to three new library developments

CabChrisDowling (Small)WORKS of art will be commissioned for three new library developments thanks to a £56,000 grant.

Official opening for new £8m children’s home

Lansdowne smallA NEW children’s home which cares for some of society’s most vulnerable young people has been officially opened.

The East Sussex County Council-run Lansdowne Secure Children’s Home, in Hailsham, was built with £8 million of Department for Education funding and welcomed its first residents in the summer. Continue reading →
