Temporary lights to return as major project continues

escc logoTEMPORARY traffic lights will return to the A21 Sedlescombe Road North next week as work on the final phase of the Queensway Gateway Road begins.

An overnight road closure will be in place from 10pm on Sunday, June 1 to allow the traffic signals to be reinstated.  The road will reopen at 6am on Monday, June 2, at which time the lights will in operation.

Former waste site to be used by recycling business

EAST Sussex County Council has today announced that it has chosen a buyer for the Forest Row Household Waste Recycling Site.

The winning bidder, who plans to use the site for a plastic and metal recycling business, was selected following a comprehensive assessment process. Continue reading →

Jail for rogue traders who conned homeowners

THREE rogue traders have been sentenced for defrauding East Sussex pensioners out of thousands of pounds.

Patrick Lemmon, 59, of Granville Road, Eastbourne, David Browne, 52, of Eisenhower Drive, St Leonards on Sea, and Vincent Dunstall, 54, were sentenced at Lewes Crown Court after each pleaded guilty to one count of fraud.
