East Sussex celebrates rise in GCSE achievement

East Sussex students were celebrating GCSE success today with improved results across the county.

Average grades were up on 2018 across the full range of headline measures. And there was a particularly strong performance in English and Maths where the proportion of students getting higher grades (9-4) rose from 62 per cent last year to 64 per cent this year. Continue reading

Team work creates new garden space for respite service

A NEW garden has been designed to promote wellbeing for guests who will be staying at a respite service for adults with learning disabilities.

‘Shameless’ blue badge fraudster claimed to be dead dad

A MOTORIST who masqueraded as his dead father so he and his wife could fraudulently use his disabled blue badge has been handed a community penalty.

Kenneth Hinton sent a string of letters and emails claiming his late father was still alive
