East Sussex businesses back the Link Road

EAST Sussex businesses are backing the construction of the new Bexhill to Hastings Link Road. In a new video available they explain how they believe it will encourage new companies and help existing ones to grow.

Business leaders say it will help regenerate the entire county – not just the direct area around the road.

The A259 between Hastings and Bexhill has been clogged with traffic for nearly forty years, preventing businesses from expanding and putting some from coming to the county.

The new road is on course to open in May next year and will help regenerate of one of the most economically deprived areas of the South East.

It’s estimated that 3,000 new jobs and £1 billion pounds of economic benefits will come to the area over the next 25 years as access is opened up to land for housing and business development
