Library move cancelled due to sale of centre

LibraryPEACEHAVEN library is to remain in its current location following the recent sale of the Meridian Shopping Centre to Morrisons.

In response to the previous plans to redevelop the site by the Co-op, and to ensure services could continue uninterrupted, East Sussex County Council’s library service identified the Joff Centre as a temporary alternative location. Continue reading

Work to secure £41m bus service funding underway

BusWORK is underway to confirm vital funding which will help improve bus services across the county.

East Sussex County Council received an indicative funding allocation from central Government of up to £41,415,02 to implement its Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP) – proposals to help the council and bus operators improve services and increase the use of public transport. Continue reading
