Virtual LGBTQ+ exhibition launched

A VIRTUAL exhibition exploring the experiences of young LGBTQ+ people in East Sussex has been launched during LGBT History Month.

Originally intended to form a travelling schools exhibition which was halted due to the coronavirus pandemic, artwork from the ‘LGBTQ+=Me: A skip, a hop and a jump’ project is now available to view online.

Participants sought for community research project

OLDER residents in Rye and Robertsbridge are being asked to share their experiences of life in rural Rother to help improve their communities for the future.

Healthy Ageing through Innovation in Rural Europe (HAIRE) is a research and community action project, funded by Interreg 2 Seas and the EU’s European Regional Development Fund, that aims to empower and enable older people to define what support they need, reduce loneliness, and improve health and wellbeing.

Online booking re-launched for birth registrations

NEW parents are now able to book an appointment online in order to register the birth of their baby.

Birth registrations were suspended between March 23 and June 14, 2020 due to the pandemic. Since the service recommenced, the registration team have been contacting parents in chronological order to book birth registration appointments, but now families can book an appointment themselves.
