TO INSPIRE young readers during this year’s annual reading challenge, children of all ages are invited to join workshop events at libraries across the county this August.
East Sussex libraries are calling on children aged four to 12 to read six books over the summer as part of The Reading Agency’s Wild World Heroes, Summer Reading Challenge 2021.
PLACES are still available for eligible children on this summer’s Holiday Food and Fun programme.
Parents and carers are being reminded to book free places on the Department of Education funded scheme, which offers a range of holiday activities and nutritious food to children and young people who are eligible for benefits-related free school meals.
Visitors to the county council’s buildings will be required to continue wearing a mask or other face-covering from Monday (July 19).
The precaution is being urged to help protect customers and staff from Covid-19 while in enclosed public spaces at council sites, including libraries.
