Work starts to rebuild historic castle wall
WORK to prepare for the rebuild of the Lewes Castle wall started earlier this week.
Sections of the historic wall collapsed in November 2019 and since then the council has been working with Lewes District Council and Historic England on plans to rebuild the structure.
Views sought on future bus services
THE PUBLIC, businesses and community organisations are being asked to give their views on future bus services across the county.
Residents are being encouraged to have their say ahead of the development of a new Bus Service Improvement Plan by completing the online survey launched this week.
Views sought on cycle route plans
PLANS for five new routes to extend and improve Eastbourne’s cycling network are out for public consultation.
The proposals, designed to encourage more sustainable travel, include sections that will take cyclists from Stone Cross to the seafront, joining up the existing seafront cycle route with the Horsey Way route.
