Jesse Mishell, aged 14, from Colorado contacted East Sussex County Council with an appeal for county memorabilia to add to his collection of state and country flags, pin badges, and maps.

Views sought on walking and cycling networks
THE PUBLIC are being invited to give their views on a plan to make active travel more convenient for every day journeys. A consultation launches on Friday, October 30 on the East Sussex Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan.
The delivery of the plan, which relies on East Sussex County Council (ESCC) and their partners securing external funding, sets out an ambitious network of proposed cycling and walking routes and measures integrated with existing infrastructure. At this stage it does not include detailed proposals.
Virtual careers fair to showcase options for students
An innovative Sussex-wide virtual careers event will give Year 11 students an opportunity to learn about future study and career choices.
‘What Next Sussex?’, an online event showcasing routes and pathways after Year 11, will take place on Wednesday, November 4, and give students the chance to meet a range of specialists within the worlds of education and work.
