Measles death sparks call for vaccinations

HEALTH bosses in East Sussex are urging parents and carers to check that their children are up to date with vaccinations against measles amid a surge of cases across the country.

Figures from the UK Health Security Agency show more than 520 confirmed cases of measles in England since the beginning of the year, including one which claimed the life of child in Liverpool. Continue reading →

Over-45s urged: ‘let’s talk about sex’

Interreg 2 Seas logoA NEW scheme launching in East Sussex will encourage people aged 45 and over to talk about sex – to try and halt a rise in sexually transmitted infections.

Roadmaster hits the streets to target potholes

Cllr Claire DowlingPOTHOLES in East Sussex are set to have a ‘blast’ this summer as high-tech machinery hits the streets.

Starting on Tuesday, May 28 2019 East Sussex Highways will deploy a fleet of three Roadmaster machines, which will tour the county repairing potholes, cracks and other defects. Continue reading →
