Free slippers giveaway at fall prevention events

RESIDENTS in East Sussex can pick up a free pair of non-slip slippers at events to mark Falls Prevention Awareness Week, which runs between September 15 and 19.

Public Health bosses at East Sussex County Council are running four public events to share advice on how older people can improve their balance with regular exercises, and hand out the free footwear to those attending. Continue reading →

Parking permits go online as new system launches

MOTORISTS will be able to apply for a parking permit at the click of a mouse when a new system is introduced next month.

From Monday, July 2 2018, all on-street parking permits for Lewes, Hastings and Eastbourne will be applied for through an online system called NSL Apply. Continue reading →

Kids’ pedal power launches new cycle route

Cllr Nick Bennett and child from Tollgate Junior School, Eastbourne, at launch of Horsey WayTHE latest section of a cycle and pedestrian route through Eastbourne has been officially opened.

Views sought on proposed changes to music service

A PUBLIC consultation on proposals to reduce the role of the county’s music service has been launched.
