Kids invited to grow their imagination with the Summer Reading Challenge

East Sussex libraries are calling on children aged four to 11 to read six books over the summer months as part of The Reading Agency’s Story Garden Summer Reading Challenge 2025.

New computers boost for libraries’ network

Cllr Chris Dowling, East Sussex County Council lead member for community services, with IT For You volunteer Danny Gallagher at Uckfield LibraryPEOPLE in East Sussex are being helped to help themselves to employment opportunities – thanks to a half a million pound upgrade of library computers.

Countryside footbridge reopens after refurbishment

Refurbished footbridge between Vines Cross and Warbleton, near HeathfieldA FOOTBRIDGE connecting two rural villages has been refurbished in a scheme completed by East Sussex County Council.
