Gritters geared up in East Sussex

Gritters parked up GRITTERS will be running their routes across the county next week to ensure they are geared up for the cold winter months.

On Friday, September 19, 21 gritters will be travelling along the most heavily used roads as part of the annual Operation Snowdrop, when East Sussex Highways fine-tunes its response to wintry weather.

Link Road work remains on track

Beams for the new railway bridge which will carry the Bexhill to Hastings Link Road over the Hastings to London mainline are hoisted into permission with the help of a 600-tonne craneWORK on the new Bexhill to Hastings Link Road remains on course with a number of significant milestones reached during the summer.
 
The steel bridge beams have all now been placed on the new railway bridge at the Hastings end of the link road, and work to complete the bridge deck will continue through August and September. Continue reading →

Footpath and bridleway work paves the way to beautiful countryside

Footpath afterWALKERS, cyclists and riders will soon find it even easier to enjoy East Sussex thanks to a programme of improvements to footpaths and bridleways.

Local business wins contract to run new café at Seaford facility
