First annual report published by new county council health team
AN ANNUAL report providing evidence to inform what and how services are delivered to improve health and wellbeing of people in East Sussex has been published.
The 2013 report is the first published by the East Sussex County Council since the Public Health Services transferred to the authority from Primary Care Trusts in April. Continue reading
Volunteering in the spotlight at library events
PEOPLE who are interested in volunteering are invited to talk to an expert at a series of drop-in sessions at libraries in Eastbourne and Lewes.
The events, which are continuing in 2014 following a successful launch in Eastbourne last year, will allow visitors to meet a ‘Volunteering Champion’ who will be able to answer any questions about volunteering and to help them find the right role for them. Continue reading
Gold accolade for young people from East Sussex
YOUNG people from East Sussex have set the gold standard after receiving the highest possible accolade under a youth achievement scheme.
The accomplishments of the county’s 44 recipients of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) gold award were recognised in a presentation event held at Herstmonceux Castle. Continue reading
