Exhibition on charter which ‘shaped the modern world’

The Keep, in Moulsecoomb, will host Magna Carta and Parliament, a free touring exhibition organised by the Parliamentary Archives to mark the 800th anniversary of the sealing of the great charter by King John. Continue reading

Have your say on future waste sites

RecyclingVIEWS are being sought on a waste strategy that will virtually eradicate the need for landfill in the East Sussex area.

East Sussex County Council, Brighton & Hove City Council and the South Downs National Park Authority will be asking people to have their final say on the joint Waste and Minerals Sites Plan during an eight week final consultation which runs from Wednesday, October 28 to Wednesday, December 23. Leading youth orchestra to give concert of popular classics

SDYO resizedHUNDREDS of primary school pupils will be given the opportunity to hear a full symphony orchestra perform at two concerts next month.

Pupils from across East Sussex will be invited to one of two concerts being performed by the South Downs Youth Orchestra (SDYO) at Uckfield’s Civic Centre on Thursday, November 26. The orchestra is one of East Sussex Music’s leading ensembles, comprising 85 school pupils from across the county. Continue reading
