Library plans on display at open days

The Brassey Institute will be open to the public on Friday, October 2 and Saturday, October 3, to enable visitors to view latest plans and talk to East Sussex County Council staff and the architect about how the building will be used. Continue reading

‘Help us shape services of the future’, says council

PEOPLE in East Sussex are being urged to have their say on how council services are delivered in the future – amid a continued public spending squeeze.

East Sussex County Council needs to save between £70 and £90 million by 2019, starting in April next year. This saving, at least 20 per cent of the council’s resources, is the result of cuts in central Government funding and rising demand for council services. Watch our short video:

Event helps young people decide on apprenticeships

The authority is offering up to 25 young people aged 16 and over a place on its three day work readiness programme which runs from Monday, October 19. Continue reading
