County council backs campaign to boost healthy living

OneYouDISEASES caused by modern day life can be avoided with simple lifestyle changes – that is the message from health bosses at East Sussex County Council.

The county council’s public health team are backing Public Health England’s ‘One You’ campaign aimed at helping adults avoid future diseases caused by everyday habits and behaviours such as eating too much unhealthy food, drinking more than is recommended, continuing to smoke and not being active enough. Schools review to be considered by lead member

Nick BennettMEMBERS of the public could soon be asked for their views on plans to close two Lewes primary schools following a district-wide review.

East Sussex County Council’s lead member for education and inclusion, special educational needs and disability, Cllr Nick Bennett, will be asked to approve a public consultation on the proposed closure of Pells CE Primary School and Rodmell CE Primary School. Continue reading

New Register Office opens in historic surroundings
