Cash boost for Seaford tree project

FUNDING from the national Local Authority Treescapes Fund will see more trees planted in Seaford.

A number of streets in the seaside town will be transformed over the next few years thanks to over £299,000 of Forestry Commission funding.

The successful bid by East Sussex County Council will pay for the removal of a number of tree stumps and the planting of new trees across the town.

Creative providers sought for winter holiday programme

FILM makers, photographers, painters, performers and other creative practitioners being invited to submit proposals for the Holiday Food and Fun programme this winter.

Creative organisations and businesses are being sought to provide a wide range of activities, along with nutritious food and snacks, for the Government-funded scheme which will run across East Sussex during the Christmas school holidays.

Council reaffirms commitment to climate pledge

Council leaders have affirmed the importance of ecological planning and protecting natural diversity as the authority continues its efforts to tackle climate change.
