Residents begin to reap benefits of library strategy

LibraryRESIDENTS across East Sussex are starting to enjoy the benefits of support and activities introduced as part of an updated library strategy.

The Libraries Strategy was updated at the end of last year to ensure that the growing needs of the most disadvantaged and vulnerable are met whilst new, high quality services that all residents can access and enjoy are developed and enhanced.

Funding boost to help support Ukrainian guests

WORK to support Ukrainian guests to integrate into East Sussex communities has been given a boost of almost half a million pounds.

With 1,460 Guests expected in the county, East Sussex County Council is distributing £490,000 to Voluntary Action groups (VAs) to help them support the work of local networks and community hubs. Continue reading

Bespoke initiative supports healthier workplaces

A BESPOKE project helping businesses across East Sussex develop a healthier and happier workforce is celebrating its early successes.

The East Sussex County Council’s Wellbeing at Work Programme works with employers to share resources and deliver training, as well as providing an accreditation scheme, to help boost the health and wellbeing of employees. Continue reading
