SENIOR councillors are set to make a final decision on the future of six day centres for older people in East Sussex.
The centres, in Bexhill, Crowborough, Hailsham, Lewes and two in Hastings, formed part of an East Sussex County Council review which was subject to a three-month consultation ending in October. Continue reading
THERE are just days left for East Sussex residents to give their views on the county’s strategy to deal with household waste between 2014 and 2025.

FAMILIES with young children living in poor accommodation could benefit from free weekly drop-in sessions being held at an Eastbourne church.
The sessions, which run every Thursday from 10am to noon at All Saints Church Hall, in Grange Road, are open to parents with children aged up to five years old who are homeless or living in temporary or sub-standard accommodation. Continue reading
ELECTRIFYING two rail lines in East Sussex is the best way of improving capacity, reducing journey times and boosting the county’s economy, a council chief has said.
