Last chance to give your views on county waste strategy

Drop-in sessions offer lifeline for families

Eastbourne drop-in centre (Small)FAMILIES with young children living in poor accommodation could benefit from free weekly drop-in sessions being held at an Eastbourne church.

The sessions, which run every Thursday from 10am to noon at All Saints Church Hall, in Grange Road, are open to parents with children aged up to five years old who are homeless or living in temporary or sub-standard accommodation. Continue reading

Rail line improvements are top priority, says council

T&E-Transp-ESCC-GlyndeStn-01ELECTRIFYING two rail lines in East Sussex is the best way of improving capacity, reducing journey times and boosting the county’s economy, a council chief has said.
