AFTER months when hard pressed parents have juggled work and supported their children with learning at home, schools are opening their doors and urging parents to have the confidence to send all children back to school in September.

Celebrating success of primary school careers pilot

A CAREERS initiative designed to inspire primary school children is celebrating success as a year-long pilot comes to an end.

Since launching in 2019, the Primary Careers Hub has worked with 23 primary schools and more than 160 employees to provide career-related learning experiences for more than 7,200 pupils from Reception to Year 6. Continue reading

Award for new Hailsham school project

THE CONSTRUCTION of a new 420-place school in Hailsham has been named ‘project of the year’ at a national awards ceremony.

Development of Hailsham Community College Primary Academy, a collaboration between East Sussex County Council and construction company Morgan Sindall Construction, won the category for ‘Building project of the Year under £10 million’ in the Constructing Excellence SECBE Awards 2020. Continue reading
