APPRENTICESHIPS in East Sussex will be given a boost this week as the county council supports National Apprenticeship Week (NAW), which runs from February 8 – 14.

As well as highlighting the national campaign, the council is officially launching its £600,000 Transform programme this week which supports businesses to access apprenticeships.

Awareness week highlights need for loving homes

THE NEED to find families for children who wait the longest for a loving home is being highlighted during National Adoption Week.

#YouCanAdopt campaign launched to boost adoptions

A NEW myth-busting campaign aimed at finding families for children waiting to be adopted is being backed by the regional adoption agency for the south east.

#YouCanAdopt has been launched to tackle misconceptions around who is eligible and encourage more people to consider adopting, particularly people from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic backgrounds. Continue reading
