AN AMBITIOUS new project designed to explore creative ways to survive the strains of lockdown is launching across East Sussex.

Groups hardest hit by the effects of Covid-19 and the restrictions in place to slow the spread of the virus are being invited to use creative pursuits such as music, art, photography and writing, to express their feelings and connect with others. Continue reading

Council supports National Apprenticeship Week

APPRENTICESHIPS in East Sussex will be given a boost this week as the county council supports National Apprenticeship Week (NAW), which runs from February 8 – 14.

As well as highlighting the national campaign, the council is officially launching its £600,000 Transform programme this week which supports businesses to access apprenticeships.

Awareness week highlights need for loving homes

THE NEED to find families for children who wait the longest for a loving home is being highlighted during National Adoption Week.

Adoption South East hopes the awareness-raising event will encourage people to consider adopting sibling groups, older children, those with complex health needs and children from Black and Minority Ethnic backgrounds. Continue reading
