MORE children and young people will benefit from free activities and nutritious food this summer as the popular Holiday Food and Fun programme is expanded.
Additional funding from the Department for Education will enable the council’s Holiday Food and Fun scheme to run an extra 2,000 activity sessions in East Sussex during the summer school holidays.
PEOPLE in East Sussex looking for apprenticeship opportunities, jobs or a career change have been given a boost with the return of the Apprenticeship Roadshows.
The Sussex Council of Training Providers, in partnership with East Sussex County Council, are holding events in Hastings and Eastbourne.
FROM THE beginning of April the Substance Misuse Service in East Sussex will be available to young people up to the age of 25.
Following successful treatment activity and positive outcomes last year, extra funding has been secured to enable the service to provide advice and treatment to more young people and their families.
AN EXCITING programme of events will be running in libraries across the county over the coming months.
Free events include computer coding workshops, music and theatre performances and interactive family learning sessions.
To mark Women’s History Month this month, which aims to inspire and empower women by celebrating women’s lives and achievements, coding taster sessions for girls will take place at Hastings and Eastbourne libraries.
