Measles death sparks call for vaccinations

HEALTH bosses in East Sussex are urging parents and carers to check that their children are up to date with vaccinations against measles amid a surge of cases across the country.

Figures from the UK Health Security Agency show more than 520 confirmed cases of measles in England since the beginning of the year, including one which claimed the life of child in Liverpool. Continue reading →

Employers open doors to give students a career boost

Youth member puts homelessness on the agenda

Libby Russell and Indya Wardle had their motions selected as two of the top 10 priorities for the UK Youth ParliamentA NATIONAL youth body will debate homelessness in the House of Commons, after a motion proposed by an East Sussex member earned the backing of young people across the country.

The motion put forward by UK Youth Parliament member Indya Wardle, from Eastbourne, received more than 120,000 votes in the national Make Your Mark ballot. Continue reading →
