Congratulations to East Sussex students as A Level exam results announced

escc logoCOUNCIL leaders have praised the efforts of young people across East Sussex as they receive their A Level, Technical and Vocational qualifications today.

Cllr Bob Standley, lead member for education and inclusion, special educational needs and disability at East Sussex County Council, said: “On behalf of the County Council, I would like to congratulate East Sussex’s post-16 students on their hard work and determination. Our young people were well prepared for their examinations, and this is reflected in the results that they have received today.

Community libraries plans move closer

LibraryPLANS to reopen five recently closed East Sussex libraries as community-run facilities have taken a step closer to fruition.

East Sussex County Council will provide books, furniture and shelving to enable Ringmer Library to be reopened as a community library run by Ringmer Village Hall Management Committee, which owns the building. Continue reading →

‘Outstanding’ rating for adult support service

Cllr Carl MaynardA SERVICE which helps people with learning disabilities in Hastings and Rother live independent lives has been given a glowing inspection report.

Langney Rise roadworks to begin

RoadworksWORK to reconstruct a major route in Eastbourne begins on Saturday, June 2 2018.
