Congratulations to East Sussex students as GCSE exam results announced

escc logoCOUNCIL leaders are celebrating the efforts of young people across East Sussex today as this year’s GCSE results are announced.

Cllr Bob Standley, lead member for education and inclusion, special educational needs and disability at East Sussex County Council, said: “Our young people have worked hard to ensure that they were well prepared for their examinations and this is reflected in the results that they have received today.

Views sought on proposed changes to music service

A PUBLIC consultation on proposals to reduce the role of the county’s music service has been launched.

Still going strong after 50 years on the roads

Community libraries plans move closer

LibraryPLANS to reopen five recently closed East Sussex libraries as community-run facilities have taken a step closer to fruition.

East Sussex County Council will provide books, furniture and shelving to enable Ringmer Library to be reopened as a community library run by Ringmer Village Hall Management Committee, which owns the building. Continue reading →
