Changes to household waste sites on the way
RESIDENTS are being advised that changes to household waste recycling sites in East Sussex will come into force at the start of next month.
From Monday, October 1 2018, two sites will close permanently, opening hours at two more will change and charges for non-household waste will come into force at all sites across the county. Continue reading
Card payments for parking in Eastbourne
MOTORISTS in Eastbourne will be able to pay for on-street parking using their credit or debit card as new machines are installed.
East Sussex County Council this week began a programme which will see 151 parking machines replaced by new, state-of-the-art machines that take chip and pin or contactless card payments as well as cash. Continue reading
Major emergency exercise comes to Rye
RESIDENTS in Rye are being advised of a large-scale exercise taking place at a chemical plant in the town to plan for a major emergency.
